It's a long time since I visited Aberdeen TM - there was a time when the club was very new that I drove up to a meeting and back to Glasgow in the same evening (both I and the club were young and keen!). So I was glad this week when I had a meeting arranged up in Aberdeen. Hurrah, I thought, I can visit my friends at Aberdeen. My meeting is Wed 19th Nov but I then realised that your meetings have moved to Thursday! It's too late to change my meeting but I wish you well all the same and watch your growth with interest. I would just like to say how much I enjoyed last nights meeting. It can be a bit daunting when you come to a new meeting and you do not know anyone.I am still laughing at the ladies call of nature, I am also glad that she just needed a pee:).

Glad you enjoyed it Peter. I know exactly how you feel about not knowing anyone but everyone is very friendly at Aberdeen Toastmasters and they want you to get on well. I do hope you come back. You must have some good stories to tell about the rat catching. Don't think we've ever had a rat catcher before!;)

Must admit the first time i heard this speech it made me cringe as well, and laugh at the same time, and I was impressed at how Charles made me laugh without cringing this time. After years of entertainment sill learning (and laughing) every time! Looking forward to your stories too..

I will not manage to the meeting tonight, I was looking forward to it, but some-one has managed to get ants in their pants, or should I say office, so I will be making a KILLING instead.
